Elizabeth Owings, M.D. - Medical Director

Dr. Elizabeth Owings is board certified in General Surgery in Birmingham, Alabama. Dr. Owings has over 20 years experience in the medical field, with specialty training in a wide variety of procedures. She offers services such as Laser Liposuction, Laser Vein Therapy, Fractional Laser Resurfacing, Weight Loss, and Hormone Replacement and Management.

Art Cox III, M. D. - Staff Physician

Board Certified Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon

Board Certified, Dr. Artemus Cox specializes in Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery in Birmingham, Alabama. He graduated from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in 1994. Dr. Cox is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology, the American Academy of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, the Alabama Chapter of American College of Surgeons, the Alabama Society of Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery, and Medical Association of Alabama. He is a Fellow of American College of Surgeons.
With more than 15 years of experience, Dr. Cox has extensive training in a wide variety of cosmetic procedures in the medical field such as Botox, Dermal Fillers, Face Lifts, Neck Lifts, Rhinoplasty, Reconstructive Surgery, as well as many other cosmetic surgical treatments.

Dr. Don Walters - Staff Physician

Board Certified Fellow, American Society of Dermatology Surgery

Dr. Walters graduated Magna Cum Laude from the City University of New York and completed his medical education at the State University of New York at Downstate. Following that he completed his residency training at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. Subsequently, his Dermatology Residency training was completed at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. In addition, he completed a one year Dermatology Fellowship at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, College of Physicians and Surgeons.

Dr. Walters currently serves as a member and Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, The American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the American Society for Mohs Surgery. He is also a lifetime member of the American Medical Association, the Medical Association of the State of Alabama, as well as a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology.

Dr. Donald Walters currently practices and serves as the Medical Director of Brookwood Dermatology in Vestavia Hills, Alabama.

Dee Yadyasar, Co-Owner

Medical Esthetician

Dee Yadyasar brings over 15 years of experience in professional make up, permanent cosmetics and medical aesthetics to Azia Medical Spa. Dee began her career in the industry working in the corporate sector with high end cosmetic companies. Dee received her certification in permanent cosmetics from International Institute of Permanent Cosmetics and she received her certification in Aesthetics from Skinactics. Dee received her Master Aesthetician license from the Alabama Board of Cosmetology and has been performing permanent cosmetics and medical cosmetic treatments at the Narrows Clinic, where she owned and operated her own aesthetics business.

In addition to her business at the Narrows Clinic, Dee oversaw the Medical Spa operation at one of Birmingham’s premier plastic surgery clinics. Dee is extremely committed to providing the very best treatments available, along with top-quality care and client education.

Jennifer Pyles

Mana Dango

Mana comes to Azia with over 30 years of nail care experience. She studied in Monte Carlo, France for 3 years years and Beirut, Lebanon for 8 years. Owning her own business and traveling the world, Mana has tended to many celebrity clients including but not limited to the United Emirates royal family. Working with natural nails, she offers many options of manicures and pedicures with luxurious oils, lotions and scrubs.

Krista Guy

Krista Guy studied at the Curves International Institute in Waco, Texas, where she earned a Certificate in Nutrition, Health, Exercise Physiology and the basic operation of a exercise Facility. For the last 10 years Krista has worked with and under well known Physicians in the Birmingham area, learning and teaching health and wellness.
Krista is trimyou certified in HCG weighloss. She continues to educate herself and others about nutrition and wellness. Krista works very closely with our physicians on staff, assisting and taking care of their patients.
She is a advocate for dyslexia. She has received awards and been recognized throughout Alabama for her work with Education. She started a support group for people with dyslexia and Parents with dyslexic children in 2007.

Staci Elder

Staci Elder has been in the spa and retail industry for 8 years. In 2006 to 2007 she worked in mind and body medicine as well as a trained air brush tanner. In late 2007 she was certified with Clarins Cosmetics as a makeup artist and skin care specialist, working closely with the companies Instructor of Beauty in Birmingham,AL and Atlanta,GA. In 2009 she began vending perfume as a fragrance specialist with P&G and has since come back into the spa industry, working closely with doctors and patients of all kinds. As head spa coordinator, she will be one of the girls you might speak with when making an appointment. She is also certified for Zerona Body Sculpting Cool Laser, Obagi Medical and Glo Minerals make-up.
